Stephanie Haladner (Speaker, Lawyer, Listener)

Stephanie Haladner is an independent speaker on diversity, the power of the mind and well-being. For over ten years, she has acted as a bridge between the corporate world and the personal development world, encouraging individuals to tap into their own wisdom to gain clarity and unleash potential. Stephanie is also a senior lawyer at a leading UK retail bank and previously practised in-house at various financial institutions through Axiom.

Nilema Bhakta-Jones (Group General Counsel, Kantar)

Nilema is an Executive Team member and leads a global legal team responsible for delivering a legal service aligned to Kantar’s growth strategy and priorities as an independent company. Before joining Kantar in 2021, Nilema was COO of Farillio, a legal tech platform for SMEs, CEO of Alacrity and General Counsel of Ascential plc (250 FTSE) for 11 years. Nilema founded the Courageous Leadership Event to empower leaders to find the courageous leader within themselves and is a Board Adviser to Empathy Week.

Natalie Salunke (General Counsel, Zilch)

Natalie is a member of The O Shaped Lawyer committee and is the GC of Zilch. Prior to her role at Zilch, Natalie carried out similar roles for RVU, Fleetcor, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, NetSuite (now part of Oracle); and was Group Head of Legal and Company Secretary of Venda. In these roles she has been responsible for all company legal matters including adopting an advisory role in relation to the group’s shareholders, board of directors and executive management. Natalie became Head of Legal at the age of 27. Before then, she worked in Travelex’s legal team, having trained at international city law firm, Taylor Wessing.

Adewunmi Alode (General Counsel, Lafarge Africa)

Adewunmi Alode is General Counsel and Company Secretary at Lafarge Africa Plc, where she has worked for fourteen years. In addition to her legal qualifications, she is a qualified ICSA UK Chartered Secretary and she holds an MBA from Business School Netherlands. She is a recipient of the 40 under 40 ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards, ranked as one of the top 50 General Counsels in Nigeria and in 2021, she was recognised by the International Cement Executives as “One of Africa's top 30 Women shaping Africa's cement industry in Nigeria”.

Ella Naiman (Advisory Partner, Empower Limited)

Ella is Advisory Partner at Empower Limited, a disruptive Tanzanian Consulting Firm that unites, excites and nurtures people for collective growth. Ella leads the Advisory department, which encompasses design and delivery of bespoke teambuilding workshops and retreats, customised learning and development programmes and consulting projects in areas of people engagement and development.

Miranda Naiman (Founding Partner, Empower Limited)

Miranda is founder of Empower, a Human Capital Consulting Firm servicing East Africa and beyond. Miranda is a mother, writer, motivational speaker & tenacious advocate of skills development having spearheaded Empower Academy and the “Kidpreneur Movement” to prepare Tanzania’s future generation for business. Miranda is also a member of The Africa List – a select community of next generation CEOs in Africa’s most exciting growth markets and serves on the board of African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative.

Professor Gina Rippon (Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Neuroimaging at the Aston Brain Centre)

Gina is Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Neuroimaging at the Aston Brain Centre, Birmingham. Her research involves state-of-the-art brain imaging techniques to investigate how the brain interacts with its world, and what happens when this process goes wrong. She is an outspoken critic of 'neurotrash', the populist (mis)use of neuroscience research to (mis)represent our understanding of the brain and to prop up outdated gender stereotypes.
